Privacy Policy

From parents. Your account holds your name, email address, and a password stored only as a secure hash. Paid plans are billed through Stripe, our payment processor — your card number goes to Stripe, never to us; we store only a billing reference ID tied to your subscription.

About your kids. A student profile is intentionally minimal: a first name, an optional birth year (used to suggest a grade level), an optional 4-digit profile PIN, and an avatar pick. No emails, no photos, no location, no contact info — we designed the system so that data simply doesn't exist here.

Learning telemetry. As your child works — lessons, coding projects, experiments, quizzes — we record lesson completions, quiz answers and scores, estimated daily attendance minutes, and AI teacher conversations. That's what powers your progress dashboards, transcripts, and attendance logs.

Running your homeschool — full stop. Delivering the curriculum, tracking progress, generating records, handling your subscription, and replying when you contact us. We don't sell personal information, we don't rent it, and there's no advertising on the platform.

Questions your child asks the AI teacher are sent to Anthropic's API for exactly one purpose: generating the answer. Every conversation is fully visible in your parent dashboard, and each student profile has a daily message cap. The AI teacher loves "why?" — and you get to read every single answer it gives.

Only a parent or legal guardian can create a RocketPath Academy account, and your consent to your child's use of the platform is collected and recorded at signup, as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires. You can review your child's data and AI conversations any time, and you can have a child's profile and all its records deleted on request.

One essential cookie keeps you signed in. That's it. No third-party ad trackers anywhere — and definitely not on the pages your kids use.

Some science lessons link to free interactive simulations on external sites like PhET and CK-12. Those sites open outside our platform, we send them no personal information about you or your child, and their own privacy policies apply while you're there.

Only the services required to keep the platform flying: Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI teacher responses), and our secure cloud hosting infrastructure where the application and database run. Each one processes data solely to provide its service to us. Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law genuinely requires it.

Everything travels over HTTPS, passwords are stored as salted hashes, and production data access is locked down. We keep your family's records while your account is active — transcripts often need to span years — and delete them when you ask us to close your account.

Update your info, read every record and AI conversation, and manage your subscription from your dashboard. To delete your account or a student profile and its data, email support@rocketpathhomeschool.com and we'll handle it.

If we make a change that matters, we'll update the date at the top and email account holders before it takes effect.
